Prototyping Lab Session 1

The rough prototype is built, and functioning with slight errors in code that are being worked out. See the prototype below:

Things we have discovered:

1. We need a solid base so that the cannon does not shift at all.
2. An acrylic base with some sort of wooden block encasing the bottom servo (pictured below) would be ideal

Team Meeting #2

Things Accomplished at Today's Meeting:

1. Our idea for our project was finalized.  We chose to prototype & code a ball launcher. The equations that will be put into the Arduino coding to shoot the ball how far, and where we want it were also created. One servo motor that will decide the position from 0-360 degrees will be used.

2. We decided to 3D print the ball that will be launched, and use a PVC pipe for the barrel. A manual spring mechanism will be used to launch the ball, which will be release by a second servo motor.

At our next team meeting we will begin to construct our prototype and test our code.

Our next meeting will be: Monday, November 17th in the prototyping lab at 4pm.

Basic Idea:

Team JAD has not decided on a final idea for the design project. Some vague ideas we have thrown around are:
- some sort of cannon that can shoot a projectile
- a tank/car/truck that can shoot a projectile
- an automated tic toe player
- something that shoots something

Another team meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 12th at 4:45pm to figure out the final design, and to begin the prototyping process.

Team picture will be posted shortly.
